Fibromyalgia and Trauma
Recently I keep reading that fibromyalgia can be triggered by trauma, especially childhood trauma. Also that it can be triggered by an event that can cause physical or emotional distress. A few years before I got properly diagnosed with fibromyalgia I fell over in the garden slipping on ice and snow and fractured my ribs on my left side. Very painful. So what did trigger my fibromyalgia?
I’ve now been told that I need to maybe have some counselling to deal with my delightful childhood memories. Well I popped them all into Pandora’s Box and threw away the key and the spare one too. Apparently if you don’t deal with these things they force themselves out in other ways. For example, fibromyalgia. We shall see. I have a nice life apart from the fibromyalgia, but well parents were not the best. I think my mother is probably ruling hell and my dad, don’t know. Please don’t judge. They shouldn’t have been parents but luckily in a way they were because then I wouldn’t be here.
