How do you celebrate holidays?

My favourite holidays are Christmas, always have been and I think they always will. I just find it really magical. I love the build up to it. I love visiting Garden Centres here in the UK as they decorate them so lovely and it gets me all excited and fills me with a warm glow. We also usually have some cake and tea in the cafe’s which is nice.

These photos don’t really show how spectacular they really are. I will have to get some really good ones this year.

At Gunwharf in Portsmouth they decorate it lovely there and sometimes have an ice rink.

They had a Carousel last year and I hadn’t been on one since I was a child so me and my husband went on it much to the embarrassment of our daughter who was nineteen at the time. We kept waving at her each time we went round. We were the only adults on there without children. It was so much fun though.

My daughter and husband went on the big wheel but my feet stayed firmly on the ground.

The other reason I love the Christmas holidays is I love buying presents for people and love to see my family’s faces on Christmas Day. I love spending time with family at Christmas and that is the best present of all. I don’t get as much time off as I would like as I work in retail.

One place I would really love to visit near to Christmas is New York as that does look so magical. The best thing about any holiday though is taking time out to relax, chill and get out of the everyday routine and spend time with family.
