Cooking Fail

I’ve always enjoyed cooking from about the age of seven, preferably making sweet things like cakes and biscuits. I remember making these fairy cakes when I was about ten which I was looking forward to decorating. They didn’t rise up though and looked more like biscuits and I couldn’t understand why. It wasn’t until I was tidying up the kitchen that I realised I’d used plain flour instead of self raising by mistake. My brother’s still ate them though even after they kept laughing and called them come and find me cakes. Since then I’ve always double checked what ingredients I’m using.
